Studies have been performed regarding neurophysiology and headaches. These studies are looking for correlation between neurophysiology and headaches to determine what can be done regarding headaches that individuals have. The studies are leading towards helping with migraines. The studies of neurophysiology and headaches have shown the results to be inconclusive, at least in looking at primary headaches.
There is another method other than neurophysiology to study headaches. Electrophysiology methods have been more useful in studying peripheral and central mechanisms regarding headaches. Still, neurophysiology and headaches are related. Neurophysiology is the study of the nervous system. The nervous system is how our bodies function and communicate. The relationship of neurophysiology and headaches is that our head can hurt based on signals the nervous system is giving our mind.
