Domestic violence or domestic abuse is a form of violence in which one person hurts another. Usually the person being hurt is the spouse or child of the one doing the hurting. Domestic violence is a very serious problem in the United States and other parts of the world. Often the victims of such abuse suffer from bruises or broken bones. Emotional tolls are also placed on the victims. Those suffering from domestic violence may be depressed, anxious, be socially isolated, and feel worthless.
It is difficult to say who will be prone to domestic violence. Very little is known because it is rarely reported. The person being abused becomes to feel as if they deserve it or that they cannot get out. Domestic violence should be reported.
