Cholesterol is a word you might associate with health issues, but in fact there are two types of cholesterol. You have LDL and HDL cholesterol in the body. The question many have is which is bad and which is good now that you know there are two types. Cholesterol is a soft fat like substance found in the bloodstream that moves through your body’s cells. Some forms can actually promote healthy cell membranes, while others can create blood clots that lead to heart attacks.
LDL cholesterol is referred to as bad cholesterol because it will circulate in the blood building up slowly until it blocks blood flow. HDL is known as the good as it will help against heart attacks due to less build up of plaque in the arteries.
